The sire
Handryk is one of the prime dressage sires of our time, much forgotten for a long timedue to color (grey) and a remote stud farm in East Germany. Nevertheless, his offspring compete internationally (e.g. Sachsenkönig in dressage) and have qualified and competed at the Bundeschampionat in eventing more than once. Handryk's sire EH Van Deyk is currently back in the spotlight due to his two sons Kaiserkult TSF and Kaiserdom TSF, who won the Bundeschampionat in Germany in two consecutive years. Dam sire Fabian was a 3/4 brother to the legendary Abdullah, but with an entirely different career. Owned and competed by Dr. Reiner Klimke, the grey stallion won his first S-class test at the tender age of 7, and was the first Trakehner stallion approved based on his sport success. The elite mare Habiana and her daughters are the current National Champion Mare Family of the entire Trakehner breed in Germany.
The dam
Stunning filly with terrific movement bred by the Kunath family at Gestüt Kirschberg in Saxony. With her impeccable manners, her elegant paces and her perfect self-carriage she is one of the gems of this selection. She has premium potential even in terms of pedigree: the sire Handryk and maternal grandsire Michelangelo, both known to pass on excellent movements, bred to one of the prime mare families of East Germany, the dam line of Glühlampe. Her full sister Glücksperle has been premium graded at last year’s central mare inspection in the breeding district East Germany/Southern part. This mare family also produced the stallions Albatsohn, Dirigent, and Gladiator.
