The sire
Le Rouge was the celebrated champion stallion in Neumünster in 2004 and this is his first foal crop. Le Rouge won the Trakehner Championship in Hanover as a 3 and 4 year old and represented the breed at the Bundeschampionat. the impressive chestnut stallion, whose full brother is in the 2006 stallion prospect lineup in Neumünster (51 Limoges), is stationed at LKlosterhof Medingen and combines an interesting collection of exceptional sport horse producers in his pedigree: EH Arogno, EH Sokrates, Sir Shostakovich xx (via Donaumonarch) and EH Michelangelo, all on the basis of the Luna mare family that also produced, among others, the ATA's two-time Olympic competitor Larissa *Pg*. Most interestingly, this Luna family is also the mare line of the dam of this foal, La Guardia!
The dam
An elegant and sophisticated prospect with an impressive way of going. This colt is a half brother to La Grande (NMS ‘04/95), who has achieved premium status in 2005. A brilliant pedigree in terms of athleticism: the great sires Arogno, Halali and Hartung bred to mares from the dam line of Luna. Elite stallion Louidor and Le Rouge himself belong to the same family. Loucado and Le Lavandou, successful dressage horses at S- and M-level, respectively, are closely related on the dam´s side.
