The sire
Insterburg TSF was approved in Leverkusen in the spring of 2002. He had a stellar career as a performance horse, represented Germany at the FEI Young Horse World Championships in Verden where he won a bronze medal, and also won a bronze medal at the Bundeschampionat. The stallion is now successfully shown at Prix St Georg levels under his steady rider Carola Koppelmann. Insterburg is the full brother to the NMS approved premium stallion I-Punkt, and comes from close maternal relation to the approved stallion Illux (now Canada). His sire EH Hohenstein has many approved sons, of which especially EH Münchhausen TSF stands out with an international dressage career at Grand Prix levels. Dam Indira is a daughter of the FEI dressage stallion Giorgio Armani, who is a very good mare producer in Germany. The third sire EH Leonardo was an outstanding show jumper producer for the breed, but his offspring also excel in dressage, for example the stallion Herzberg in California, who is a World Cup competitor in dressage with owner Jennifer Hoffmann.
The dam
Marjell III is a direct daughter of the impeccable performance sire Habicht. Her two sons Miles and More and Moviestar are FN-registered performance horses in Germany, and her dam Modena was the champion mare of the State Mare Show in the Rhineland in 1974. She produced the M-level dressage gelding Legato (by Leibjäger), and comes from the pure TB mare line of Mariandle xx, which also produced the accomplished stallions Margo and Memphis.
