Harley is a well trained horse showing great promise for dressage. Very athletic mover with excellent mechanics and a great disposition and work ethics. Not shown publicly.
The sire
Sire Connery was approved in 2000, qualified for the Bundeschampionat twice and has been doing well as a dressage horse on his way to the FEI levels. His first crop appeared in Neumünster in 2004 and his first son, Aquarius, was approved. In 2005, his sons Elfenfeuer and Imperio were approved, the latter as the shining reserve champion in Neumünster. Connery's dam Caro-Dame II is one of the few daughters of the very good Karo As in the breed, the only approved son of the excellent sport horse sire Vollkorn xx in Oldenburg. Caro-Dame II is a daughter of the late elite mare Cornau, who not only left the breed several highly ranked daughters, but most importantly, the elite stallion and major sire Consul. Other daughters of her include the Grand Prix winner Corna, dam of the premium stallion Checkpoint, or Cornu, dam of the approved Cornus. A close relative to Connery is the 2006 auction mare 106 Corné.
The dam
The dam Hilka has an outstanding production record for dressage. Her son Hardenberg Lemon (by Amiego *Ps*E*) was an auction highlight in Medingen, and a multiple S-level dressage winner prior to his sale to the United States. In 2005, he was the ATA Horse of the Year at Prix St. Georg level. Hilka is also dam of the chestnut gelding Hinnerck TSF, a Bundeschampionat finalist in the dressage horse divisions and in training with Carola Koppelmann, so more is bound to happen. Hinnerck TSF is owned by Holger Schmezer, the National Dressage Trainer in Germany. The 2nd dam has produced the successful dressage horses Hermes, Hidalgo, Heidjer, Hiddensee, and Hemingway, up to S-level. The small family of Hulla has also produced the champion stallion Highnoon and the ATA's High Knight.
