The sire
Schiffon was approved in Neumünster and sold to Gestüt Hof Heithom in Holstein, where he quietly started his dressage career and bred only a few mares. The impressive black stallion, who carries all the positive rideabiliyt traits of his famous stallion line, had a career up to Prix St Georg in Germany only only this summer sold to the United States. Schiffon's dam sire Mago xx is a phenomenal TB stallion of great importance in Denmark, and competed on the Danish National Dressage team at the 1994 World Equestrian Games in The Hague (!). The dam line of Sternblume is a branch of the big Schwinderlin family and the 2006 stallion candidate 42 Sorrento is a member of this line.
The dam
Herzflocke is a multiple in hand champion mare and is bred according to classical "Panker" standards, with the dressage sires EH Tivano (full brother to EH Tenor and maternal half brother to EH Tuareg), Radom and Erzsand on her bottom line. The second dam ES Herzminze is the dam of the 1990 champion stallion EH Herzzauber, and this is also the family of Herzkristall, Herzfunke, the PSG winner Hippokrates as well as the 2005 champion Herzensdieb and the S-dressage gelding Harlem.
