The sire
Pret a Porter was a celebrated premium stallion in Neumünster in 2001, and sold for a higher six digit number at the Klosterhof Medingen Trakehner Auction a year later. Very sadly, this highly talented dressage stallion from one of the breed's most versatile and proven sport families died barely 5 years old after an injury had already left him unable to breed for some time. Of only a few foals, he sired the exciting 2004 champion stallion Le Rouge. Ivernel, who was recently sold to England, was a S-level dressage performer in Germany for the Tasdorf stud in Holstein, and also produced the approved Schönbrunn. He is a full brother to the Bundeschampionat finalist Isfahan (dressage). The dam line traced back to Peraea via Perlenkette, a line that the breed owes the stamping sire Pregel to, amongmany others. Dam sire EH Sokrates, who is the only elite stallion in South America, was the breed's best all around producer in Germany (based on breeding indeces through offspring performance). No other stallion at his time sired equally successful dressage horses, show jumpers and eventers to the international level. Valentin was one of the few descendands of the Abglanz line in the breed and show jumped at S-level.
The dam
Irma la Douce xx comes from a classcial German TB family, and combines utterly important sires in her pedigree that shaped the modern warmblood breeds. Kaiseradler xx is the sire of, e.g. Patricius xx (EH Van Deyk, Goldino) and Madruzzo xx (Windfall *Pg*, Skatman). The second dam sire Orsini xx is also second dam sire of the former champion stallion and S-level dressage stallion Finley-M. Local Suitor xx brings in performance blood that has been particularily important in eventing. From this "I" family, the Trakehner breed also had the approved Ildefonso xx and Irish Stew xx. The family has further generated the known stallions Impromto xx and Impulsivo xx.
