The sire
Couleur-Fürst was one of the first approved sons of the impeccable show jumper and eventer producer Sir Shostakovich xx. Couleur-Fürst was a S-level show jumper himself, and even though older and at a remote station, he still comes up with auction horses once in a while. His dam is one of the breed's most outstanding mares after WWII. Couleur also produced the show jumper and approved stallion Caanitz, as well as several premium mare, e.g. Couracia, dam of the 2004 reserve champion Couracius. Among Sir Shostakovich xx approved sons are the Grand prix show jumper Donaumonarch, the 100 day test winner Sir Chamberlain, the great Best Before Midnight and the younger, and S-successful show jumper Chateauneuf. Sir Shostakovich xx is also the sire of the CCI**** hores Lester Piggott (USA) and Boettcher's Longchamps (Germany).
The dam
Louisiana already had an auction mare in Neumünster: in 1999, the dark bay mare Lantana sold for the record breaking price of 110,000DM as a two year old filly. In 2005, her second foal ever became champion in Neumünster: Le Rouge. In 2006, Lantana has another son up for approval (51 Limoges). Louisiana is also dam of the State Champion mare Louise (by Suchard). The mare family of Luna IV, which traces back to Arabian roots in form of the full sister to Burnus AAH, Amsel AAH, also produced the ATA's top eventer and two times Olympian Larissa *Pg*.
