The sire

EH Friedensfürst was a successful international Grand Prix dressage star, first trained by Nicole Uphoff, and later successful with Lisa Wilcox for the Vorwerk stud in Oldenburg. The tall, exceptionally supple chestnut died untimely at only 12 years of age after a heart disease and is dearly missed, since his offspring impress under saddle, and are already winning at the highest levels. His approved son Lücke is a S-level show jumper, the only Trakehner ever to be accepted into the Hanoverian Show Jumper program, and the Friedensfürst son Patmos is an up and coming younger dressage stallion. Friedensfürst was the revitalization for the Schabernack line, which was pretty much gone in Europe and only well established in North America via the ATA's Graditz *E*. His dam line was a pure German TB line and shares the same background with the line of the 1993 champion stallion and CCI*** eventer Fontainbleau.

The dam

Odessa excels with athleticism, superior movement, and aristocratic bearing and has also completed a very good mare performance test. Dam Oktiabrina was imported from Russia and inspected in Germany. Dam sire Telets, and especially the second sire Topki, are proven performance sires. Topki, who was an Olympic show jumper, is also the sire of the Trakehner breed's exceptional Schenkendorf. He was the best jumper in Neumünster, won at National level in Great Britain, and was recently switched over to eventing, where he is already competing at ** levels. The pedigree is rounded up by Olympic-proven Hockey blood on the bottom line of the dam side. Dam Oktiabrina is also dam of the stallion candidate 9 Oleander.

Odessa is in foal to Karolinger I, the Trakehner riding horse champion, Bundeschampionat finalist and top selling elite auction horse in Medingen in 2005. Karolinger I is a full brother to Karolinger II and will soon by shown under saddle by Germany's Peter Koch, who already celebrated outstanding success with the Trakehner performance horses Shannon TSF, Konradi and Avoni. The dam of Karolinger I and II has the stallion candidate 1 Krokant in the ring this year.
