The sire
EH Van Deyk was a Grand Prix dressage winner with Dorothee Schneider and even made a comeback after most of his back coat was lost in a hirrific barn fire. His dam Vaness turned 36 years old and produced 22 foals in her life. Sire Patricius xx, a model TB stallion, also produced the approved Goldino, a FEi competitor himself and sire of the approved stallions Uljanoff and Uckermärker. The TB stallion Kaiseradler xx was of utmost importance in Germany, and also produced, e.g. Madruzo xx, the dam sire of the Olympic eventer Windfall *Pg*. The combination of the major sires Impuls and Ibikus, as shown in Vanessa's pedigree, was mostly a story for success and was especially popular in Hämelschenburg, where not only Ibikus stood at stud, but where Van Deyk's dam line of Vera was also bred for a while. This line further produced the S-level dressage stallions Valerian and Vincent, as well as the show jumper champion and approved Velasquez, and the CCI**** eventer Vilano, who represented Germany at the World Championships in Jerez de la Frontera.
The dam
Prettiness is the 2006 champion mare of the big mare inspection in the Rhinland. And what a champion she is!! This beautiful prima donna charms the audience with her consistent display of superior movement. The pedigree includes the elite stallions Van Deyk and Tuareg, both of them valued for their dressage offspring. The dam line is smaller and of Olish origin, but has produced a numbero fhighly interesting horses, among them the approved stallion and M-winner Pretty Dancer (ht elast son of EH Mackensen), as well as the geldings Palladio and Ginster, dressage horses at M- and S-level, respectively. The third dam sire Kurfürst, who stood at Webelsgrund, was a son of Pregel and produced some outstanding daughters of high quality, which helped to produce stallions like Illuster, Arrak and Shannon.
The expected foal by Goldschmidt promises high dressage potential. Goldschmidt, who is the only approved son of Biotop in Germany right now, is a successful younger dressage horse with Jana Freund and comes from a highly proven dam line that also produced the FEI stallions EH Gribaldi and Griorgio Armani.
