The sire
Biotop was one of the breed's most successful international dressage horses. While he never made it to one of the big champinships like the WEG opr Olympics, his lifetime earnings of roughly 250,000 Euros make him stand out by far. With his rider, the late Dr. Reiner Klimke, the stallion who was said to border between genius and maniac, had many fans that adored his exceptional mechanics in his movement, the lightness of his performances and his unrivaled beauty. Biotop has one approved son in the Trakehner breed so far, the successful dressage horse Goldschmidt, and has left a mark on the breed already with his high quality daughters, like the National Champion mare Shakira and her full sister Scarlett, the auction highlight in NMS in 2004.
The dam
The dam Schöne Maid comes from a great branch of the big Schwarze Schwalbe family that is well known for stallions like Schwadroneur or Showmaster. The second dam Schöner Morgen was the State Champion mare in Bavaria, and has produced numerous horses for the stallion market (e.g. Schöner Zauber, most expensive non approved stallion with 90.000 DM), and other auctions. Her dam Schöner Tag is truly a legend. She is the dam of the FEI dressage stallion Showstar (by Polarpunkt), the State Champion mare PS Schöne Symphonie (also by Polarpunkt), the CCI*** eventer Schalk (by Schwertträger), the S-level dressage horse Sheward (by Hockey), the premium mares Schöne Welt (by Hockey) and Schäztchen (by Schwadroneur) as well as the mare performance test winner Schöne Stunde (by Herzruf), dam of the Verband approved Shooting Star (by Belmont park xx). From the same breeding comes the 2006 auction mare 98 Schöne Welt.
