The sire
Cadeau has the most sons of any stallion in Neumünster this year. A trend that shows how very populat Hörstein's bay charmer is. The stallion was approved in 2001 as the second reserve champion and had an outstanding first breeding season. He won the rideability index of his 70 day test (over 138 points) and finished 4th overall. His seasons as a 4 and 5 year old were marked my several wins at material level, as well as 1st and 2nd level. Cadeau won the Trakehner Championship in Bonn, and would have qualified for the Bundeschampionat if his Danish passport had not cut those ambitions short. Cadeau is a Trakehner Verband elite prospect, even though sadly, he no longer performs due to the high demand in the breeding shed. Nice for his owners, no doubt, but troublesome for the breed as this promising stallion should certainly leave his mark in the dressage ring too. His sire Silvermoon recently came back into the spotlight with the international Grand Prix shooting star Matine, his Danish bred daughter who won individual bronze and silver at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, 2006. He is a maternal half sibling to the approved Schampus. Cadeau is a member of the Corry family that originates with one of Trakehnen's best mares, Corrida. This family also produced, among others, EH Consul, Connery, Couleur-Fürst, Carel Deak, Almox Prints J, Cornus, Checkpoint and Chardonnay.
The dam
Skyline II became reserve champion of the Hessian mare inspection this summer, won a 1b-prize at the regional mare show the following day and completed a very good mare performance test. This impressive mare is a credit to her sire with her exemplary career. Moreover, she depicts typical Trakehner breed characteristics along with wonderful basic paces, long lines and a big frame. Her dam Soirée also won her inspection and has been successfully shown in family and individual classes in hand, e.g. when she won the 1998 Reserve National Champion mare title. The approved stallions Sky Dancer, a successful show jumper to S-level, and his full brother Sky Walker are close relatives, since they were produced by Soire's maternal half ssiter Serenade. The movement-wonder Sabary is a direct son of the second dam, the outstanding Shynoon. She is also dam of 15 Superman. Skyline has not been bred due to her training under saddle.
