The sire
Freudenfest was the champion in Neumünster in 1999. His full brother Farinelli was approved and announced as champion in 1996, and had a stellar career to S level in dressage. Tolstoi wasd a premium stallion in Neumünster and also produced the approved Saint Tropez (State Stud Warendorf), Davidoff Classic and Dvorak. His dam Tugend III produced the international show jumper Trenk and Tiflis, as well as the mares Turandot (dam of Turnus) and Titania (dam of Tycoon (UK)), which makes her one of the breed's most successful mares. Dam sire Amadeus left over 50 registered daughters as well as the approved Messalla. The lines goes back directly to the influential Gabriel-daughter Flocke, dam of the full brothers Flaneur and Mahdi. The line also produced Feingeist (now in Canada).
The dam
Stürmische already has one approved son in the breed, the Wickrath 2006 approved Sturmklang. She is a highly decorated show mare and a foundation mare for the breeding program of the Kuhlemann family in the Rhineland. Her sire Matador was one of the breed's most popular sires in the 70s and 80s, and left the exceptional son EH Tipperary as well as some influential daughters like the dams of EH Hohenstein and EH Monteverdi TSF and EH Michelangelo. He came from the same dam line was EH Mackensen, Mahagoni, Marke's Letzter, Marlon and others. Stürmische's line further descends via the less known, but accomplished Grandezzo (family of the champion and Grand Prix winner Glanzlicht) and Sollingby Pelion. The big Schwinderlin-family of the Elxnat family has produced several highly influential branches. This particular line also produced the eventer Starway.
