The sire

Cadeau has the most sons of any stallion in Neumünster this year. A trend that shows how very populat Hörstein's bay charmer is. The stallion was approved in 2001 as the second reserve champion and had an outstanding first breeding season. He won the rideability index of his 70 day test (over 138 points) and finished 4th overall. His seasons as a 4 and 5 year old were marked my several wins at material level, as well as 1st and 2nd level. Cadeau won the Trakehner Championship in Bonn, and would have qualified for the Bundeschampionat if his Danish passport had not cut those ambitions short. Cadeau is a Trakehner Verband elite prospect, even though sadly, he no longer performs due to the high demand in the breeding shed. Nice for his owners, no doubt, but troublesome for the breed as this promising stallion should certainly leave his mark in the dressage ring too. His sire Silvermoon recently came back into the spotlight with the international Grand Prix shooting star Matine, his Danish bred daughter who won individual bronze and silver at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, 2006. He is a maternal half sibling to the approved Schampus. Cadeau is a member of the Corry family that originates with one of Trakehnen's best mares, Corrida. This family also produced, among others, EH Consul, Connery, Couleur-Fürst, Carel Deak, Almox Prints J, Cornus, Checkpoint and Chardonnay.

The dam

Hörstein's Grande Dame Shynoon is one of the best mares of the Trakehner breed. Bred in Rantzau, she is a member of the very good Sherezad-branch of the great Schwalbe family. Her sire Highnoon was champion in Neumünster and died of a colic when he was only 4 years old, so hi influence is only marginal. He is a full brother to the 2nd dam of the ATA approved High Knight. Shynoon produced the exceptional Sabary, probably the best of all Sixtus-son, who has not been breeding for over 5 years now (he is the private riding horse of his owner). A shame considering the outstanding quality that has been seen in his few offspring. Shynoon is also dam of the PS, SPS and elite mare Serenade XVI (by Habicht), who produced the top show jumper and approved premium stallion Sky Dancer as well as his full brother Sky Walker (both by EH Beg xx). Shynoon is also dam of the 1998 reserve champion mare in Neumünster, PS Soiree (by EH Lehndorffs).
