Goldopal is the champion of the big Hörstein Foal Championship this spring and is a son of the former Bundeschampion Imperio. Now under the saddle of Hubertus Schmidt, Imperio has made a stunning transition to FEI levels, and placed very high at Prix St. Georg and Inter I levels in Hagen and at the CHIO Aachen in 2011. Dam Golda Meir also competed at M level dressage and is a daughter of the full sister of Gribaldi. The same family also produced the FEI dressage stallions Goldino and Giorgio Armani.
