The sire

Stravinsky xx first came to the attention of Trakehner breeders when he appeared at the Leverkusen Spring Approvals in 2002. This black stallion, who was bred in Poland but owned by a Dutch breeder, had won at M-level in dressage and his under saddle presentation in Leverkusen left people speechless. His elevation, engagement, modern knee action and focus is seldomly seen in dressage horses. Stravinsky xx stood at Gutsverwaltung Schwaighof for only a few seasons, and later sold on to Northern Europe and after an odyseey through East Germany and Scandinavia finally found a home in Great Britain. His breeding couldn't be more interesting, since the sire Revlon Boy xx is a direct descendant of the exceptional German TB sire Blauer Reiter xx, whose family tree also includes the foundation mare Blaue Donau xx and the important Berggeist xx, sire of the Trakehner breed's influential Maigraf xx. Revlon Boy's dam goes back to the heros of German TB and warmblood breeds via Neckar xx, a most important stallion. Stravinsky's first Trakehner son was approved in Neumünster in 2006, Chardonne.

The dam

Delphi comes from the East Germany mare family of Skadi which lately has become a shining example of exceptional athleticism and success. Delphi already had the NMS auction foal Donna Leon (by K2) in the ring. The second dam Distanz produced the young M level show jumper Danton (by Waitaki). The third dam Dalamtika by the Russian import and top jumper sire Trafaret produced the exceptional young show jumper and approved stallion Der Dürer TSF (by Waitaki), as well as the mare Delikata (by Black Magic Boy), whose son Delikat was approved in Neumünster 2008 with a premium title and was a crowds favorite that year. From the same family background, the breed also has the show jumper and approved stallion Dramatiker (by Bardolino), the approved Dexter (also by Bardolino) and the former approved, now gelded Dynamik IIi (ex Dornfelder, by Bardolino), who was the best 5yr old event horse in North America in 2006. Although not approved for Trakehners, he was approved for the Mecklenburg warmblood and the 2008 Mecklenburg approvals saw two Dynamik-sons approved, one even becoming the champion stallion!
