The sire
Waitaki was an internationally successful show jumper, and is currently the leading Trakehner show jumper sire based on the FN index system, followed closely by Olympic champion Abdullah. Waitaki's few offspring excel in show jumping and eventing, and the most famous of Waitki's competing offspring is the approved Der Dürer TSF, who is now ridden by Michael Jung and has won international S** classes. The dam Dalmatika has founded a small family at Gestüt Inselhof, and one that excels in competition with the Grand Prix dressage gelding Delacroix (by Saint Cloud) and fellow uper level show jumper Danton (also by Waitaki). She is also the second dam to the much admired 2008 NMS reserve champin Delikat, who passed an exellent performance test.
The dam
This pedigree highlights interesting inbreeding to the same damline, with the mare Dalmatika appearing twice. The direct family also produced the S level show jumper Danton (by Waitaki) and the Grand Prix dressage gelding Delacroix (by Saint Cloud). Dam Delphi is also dam of the approved stallion Der Dante (by Stravinsky xx), who competed successfully as y oung dressage horse in 2010. The larger Skdi family comes from East Germany and also stands for: Dramatiker - approved by Bardolino, winning young show jumper; Dynamik - approved by Bardolino, best 5yr old eventer in the US in 2006 and now successful show jumper, sire of approved stallions and performance horses in Germany; Dajan - approved by Poker E; Kalinka - by Kolibri, 1.40m show jumper; Delikat - approved premium, reserve champion in NMS 2008 and performance test highlight; Dornfelder - by EH Caprimond, S level dressage winner.
