The sire
EH Van Deyk was a Grand Prix dressage winner with Dorothee Schneider and even made a comeback after most of his back coat was lost in a barn fire. His dam Vanessa turned 36 years old and produced 22 foals in her life. Sire Patricius xx, a model TB stallion, also produced the approved Goldino, a FEI competitor himself and sire of the approved stallions Uljanoff and Uckermärker. The TB stallion Kaiseradler xx was of utmost importance in Germany, and also produced, e.g. Madruzo xx, the dam sire of the Olympic eventer Windfall *Pg*. The combination of the major sires Impuls and Ibikus, as shown in Vanessa's pedigree, was mostly a story for success and was especially popular in Hämelschenburg, where not only Ibikus stood at stud, but where Van Deyk's dam line of Vera was also bred for a while. This line further produced the S-level dressage stallions Valerian and Vincent, as well as the show jumper champion and approved Velasquez, and the CCI**** eventer Vilano, who represented Germany at the World Championships in Jerez de la Frontera. EH Van Deyk is one of the best sport horse sires in the breed today, and has many approved sons, among them the outstanding producer Handryk, the FEI dressage stallions Kaiserkut TSF and Kaiserdom TSF, and the stallion performance test winner Rastenburg. Van Deyk is also the sire of the Grand Prix dressage stallion EH Polarion TSF, who produced the FEI World Champion Grafenstolz TSF and the mare Gipsy Rose, dam of the 2007 NMS champion Grand Passion and the 2007 National Champion mare, Gipsy Flower II.
The dam
Dam Zauberlied, who pased an exceptional mare performance test and won under saddle as a youngster, already produced the full brother and approved Zauberdeyk (NMS 2009). She is closely related to the S level dressage mare Zauberhexe and the 2008 approved Zauberruf, who is the ATA's most successful young eventer in 2010. The larger mare family also produced a number of S level show jumpers like Zaunkönig, as well as several approved stallions, among which the DLG Champin Zauberklang *E* stands out the most.
