The Trakehner in Eventing - The next generation -

Altefeld's Rob Rob by EH Sixtus-Black Minstrel xx, was another Bundeschampion for the breed and has progressed nicely through the levels. The impressive black gelding and his expert rider Eva-Maria Putz added several CIC** and CCI**s to their list and won the European Amateur Championships in 2005. Their start into the 2006 season was most impressive and for the fall, they aim for their first ***.

Gelha's Seacookie by Helikon xx-Onassis, is the new Trakehner star in Ingrid Klimke's barn and very convincingly won the Bundeschampionat for 5 year old eventers in 2004. And all that after he had been broken and trained for only one year! His 2005 season was aimed at giving him more confidence, and 2006 started at CIC** level for this barely 7 year old. Surely a talent to watch for the future, especially knowing what Ingrid Klimke can turn a young eventer into! Photo by Jacques Toffi.

Nagano by EH Grossist out of Not Foe Sale by EH Tenor is yet another Trakehner Bundeschampion! A new rising star in the eventing scene in Germany, this pretty bay gelding is ridden by Stefanie Korte, whose early career started on Trakehner as well. Nagano is scheduled to make a CIC debut appearance in 2006.

Karambeau M by Windfall out of Karatschi II by EH Anduc. Like father like son. Karambeau M is not only a look-alike to Windfall, but slowly works his way up the levels with young rider Kai-Steffen Maier in his saddle. CIC* and ** have been mastered, and in 2006, the pair ran their first ***. Karambeau's maternal half sister Karascada M by Heraldik xx is only a year younger, but already placed at advanced level.

Huronia by EH Caprimond out of Havel by Matador doesn't really display the pedigree one would expect for an eventer, but the chestnut mare has proven that she is on the right track to master this discipline. Bred by New Spring Farm in Missouri, USA, the mare is ridden by Darren Chiacchia and won the "Horse of the Year" title from the USEA at preliminary level in 2004, and has now reached CIC*** level. Huronia continues to do well and will certainly leave a mark as the most successful offspring EH Caprimond ever had in eventing! Photo by Shannon Brinkmann.

Finch Hatton by Suchard out of Folie Berge xx by Frontal xx is a former NMS stallion candidate, who wasn't approved, but proved to be a superior sport horse. Today, the impressive grey is trained and ridden by Elmar Lesch, and proving himself at CIC*** levels, ready to show what he can really accomplish in eventing.
