The sire
Kasparow is one of EH Sixtus' most successful sons, in competition and as a sire. His offspring impress with clear dual talent, most are excellent movers and very good jumpers. Kasparow has a career up to PSG in dressage and CIC** eventing in Europe, and sired the top jumper in NMS in 2003, Titulus (now in Canada). Kasparow's dam Kandra is a multiple in hand champion, also dam of the under saddle riding horse champion Kasixta (a full sister to Kasparow). Second dam Kanessa by Schwalbenherbst produced the exceptional Inter I winner Kira K, without doubt one of the most talented and promising youngter dressage horses in Germany at her time (ridden by Ingrid Klimke and later Nicole Uphoff). Kira K just recently presented her first daughter for inspection, Koko K, who became champion of the inspection and won a high award at the Westfalian State Mare Show.
The dam
Dam sire Affido xx was a "purebred" German TB stallion whose pedigree contained about every name of importance for the development and improvement of the German warmblood breeds. His dam Alpenlerche xx was also dam of the important Alpenkönig xx (sire of the Trakehner and Oldenburg approved Sevillano xx, who sired the premium stallion Donaufischer). The same line also produced the approved Astico xx and Akademos xx, dam sire of the FEI show jumper and approved Fantome d'Abdullah. The mare family of Insterburg further produced Intermezzo, Insterfeuer, Insterruf and Inselkönig (ATA).
