The sire

Interconti was approved as a premium stallion in 2002. The grey stallion was one of the best overall movers of that crop in Neumünster and despite an early injury in his life, was able to pass an outstanding performance test and start his dressage career. He was the last son sired by the great EH Consul and this is his second crop in Neumünster. In 2006, his sons Contis and Zauberfürst (premium) were approved. Contis sold to the UK, while Zauberfürst became the 2007 Reserve Bundeschampion of all German 3year old stallions in Warendrof! Interconti's dam Irene VI also produced the dam of the ATA approved Inamorato (by Buddenbrock) and this is also the same close line of the 2005 reserve champion and celebrated Imperio (by Connery).

The dam

Nakita's daughters Nadja and Naomi II are presenting their own Interconti sons in Neumünster this year: 49 Naklaro and 51 Nachtruf, which makes these three Interconti sons more or less bloodline-identical. Nakita is a maternal half sister to the FEI dressage stallion EH Napoleon Quatre. Grimsel stood at Birkhausen and is also the second dam sire of EH Hohenstein. He was one of four full brothers approved for the breed, all by Kassio and out of the DLG champion mare Griseldis by Pindar xx: Griset, Gregor and Gelria. The dam line of Nawarra was lost after the war and came back into the breed via Poland. The TB stallion Kemal xx was a pretty influential sire in Poland and can also be found in the third generation of the ATA's Pyatt Charly.
