The sire
Godot was approved in Neumünster in 2003 and impressed as a great overall athlete. Unfortunately, he never passed his performance test and is no longer approved. His dam Goldchen is a daughter of the excellent Camelot, sire of Gipsy King, and the elite mare Gipsy Rose, dam of Grafenstolz TSF. The third dam is a daughter of the FEI dressage stallion EH Ravel, a maternal half brother to EH Rockefeller. This G-line stands for the Gundel family, that also produced, among others, the maternal half brothers Goldino and EH Gribaldi.
The dam
Dam sire Pidroneur was approved in Denmark and is a son of the important riding horse sire Schwadroneur. Dam Pillau II was a daughter of the famous mare Peggi by Altan, dam of the approved Pascal (by Matador) and second dam of EH Partou, Anky van Grunsven's international Grand Prix stallion. Her great grand daughter Pikee by EH Arogno sired the FEI dressage stallion Payano (by EH Herzruf, Finish National Champion in dressage), and the Olympic eventer Peppermint III (by Zauberklang *E*). The third dam Pillau II was a full sister to Pedola, dam of the international Grand prix dressage stallion EH Partout. This is the greater Pelagonie family of the main stud Trakehnen, which also prouced, among others, the approved Pascal (UK) and Peron TSF.
