About the sire:
E.H. Manrico is one of the most proven all around sport hose sires of the Trakehner breed today and just in the past years has slowly made his way back into the spotlight. His get compete successfully at FI eventing and S level dressage. Manrico was also the champin of his 100 day test and won at Inter I level in dressage. His get constistently inherit great rideability and excllent jumping potential. Manrico's sire Gipsy King was an equally established dual purpose sires in the Trakehner breed with offspring competing at S level in show jumping and dressage. He was one of the last male representatives of the Abglanz line in the Trakehner breed. Gipsy King's dam line, that of the original treck mare Gundula (O326 Poll-Hörem), has produced a number of S level performance horses and the influential stallions Gunnar, Ginster, Grand Passion, Guy Laroche, Guter Planet, Guter Stern, Glenn Grant, as well as the equally versatile Grafenstolz TSF.
Manrico's dam Marcia II is an elite mare for the Trakehner Verband and is also the dam of the highly regarded approved chestnut Märchenprinz by Ecuador xx, who stood in Germany and Denmark. The grand dam Maike is also an elite mare and produced Marcia's full brother, the approved Maifeuer. Maike is also dam of the mare Mailicht by Habicht, whose old daughter Maiwolke by Arrak was successful as a show jumper at M level. From very close maternal relation, we also find the the outstanding show jumper sire Mandant and Marius, whose son Conte Conyaro had a long Grand Prix dressage career with Karin Kunert. This valuable and highly proven dam line is also the background of the S level show jumpers Merlin, Mondsichel and Morgenstern (all sired by Sarafan).

About the dam:
Hot Chocolate was a true multi-talent. In competition, she won at M** level in dressage and was trained up to S level. She also placed at L level open jumper shows (1.25m). She was driven in a team of 6 horses, and also played "horse soccer" with a lot of passion. She is also dam of several registered brood mares, including another premium mare. Sire Radom was successful as a dressage horse up to S level and sadly died at age 11 - way before he rose to his full potential. Besides exceptional daughters, he also sired the approved stallions Baluster, Belsazar and of course, E.H. Tuareg. As dam sire, he appears in the pedigrees of the 1990 Champion stallion EH Herzzauber and premium stallion Herzkristall. Although trained as a dressage horse, Radom actually carried top notch show jumper genes through his dam sire Kassius by Impuls. Kassius' outstanding approved son Suchard and his son Balisto Z, an international show jumper, were the first Trakehners ever to be introduced in the Zangersheide Stud Book in Belgium, one of the prmier jumper books in the world.
Dam Heimkehr III first stood in Germany and later moved on to Denmark, where her first born son Henessey was accepted for NMS. Although on the final ring, he was not approved, but sent to the 100 day test nevertheless, which he won with a dressage index of 135 points. Heimkehr III is also dam of the ATA approved stallion Happy Hour.
The large mare family of Herbstgold traces back to the original Main Stud Trakehnen mare Herbstzeit. This is the family of e.g. E.H. Herzzauber (Champion NMS 1991), Herzensdieb (Champion NMS 2005), Herbstruf, Hibiskus (Reserve Champion NMS 2002), E.H. Herzruf, Hirtentanz, Hölderlin, Hirtenruf (Reserve Champion NMS 1998), Houston, the Ibikus-sire Hertilas, E.H. Hofrat (Reserve Champion NMS 2000), Hoftänzer (Reserve Champion NMS 2001), Herzbube, Hilarius, Herzkristall, Herzog, Herbstglanz, Herzglanz, Herzfunke, Herbstwind and the international dressage horse Hirtentraum.
