Amazing Spirit


A most unique opportunity! Outstanding 2012 filly with excellent comments from the inspection committee. Amazing Spirit is registered with the ZSAA, but is fully eligeable for Trakehner Studbook Inspection at age 3. This is a highly noble and elegant filly that has excellent, very elastic movement in all three gaits and combines her athletic abilities with an ideal conformation, especially in her shoulder and croup formation. A filly that holds all the cards to excel in competiton and breeding in the future.

About the sire:

High Spirit is of purebred Trakehner blood. He was approved by the ZSAA in Alsfeld in 2011 with scores of 7.0 for type, 8.0 for upper body, 7.0 for walk, 8.0 for trot, 8.0 for canter, 9.0 for his free jumping and a total score of 7.7. Together with another Shagya Arabian, he was named as champino of the approvals. The stallion is in training under saddle and is currently in prepration for his stallion performance test and subsequent presentation to the Trakehner Verband for full approval.

His sire Pampero won his 70 day test in Marbach in very convincing manner, with a dressage index of 124.72, a jumping index of 127.79 and an overall index of 127.79. He won every discipline of all stallions entered in this test in his year. Pampero was approved by the ZSAA and a near career-ending injury eliminated him from Trakehner approval in Leverkusen. High Spirit remains his only son. Pampero comes from valuable bloodlines. His sire Panchero II AA was a paternal half brother to the very influential and successful State Stud stallions Matcho AA and Upan la Jarthe AA. The dam Bella Marjell is one of the very few daughters of the Trakehner puissance show jumper Machandel, who was initialy approved in NMS, then bought by a Polish consortium and paced in international competition. Through the sires E.H. Bartholdy (Pasteur xx - line), Seeadler (Habicht - line) and the good TB Nemrod xx, this pedigree boasts with performance potential in dressage, show jumping and eventing and is based on a very good Polish Trakehner mare family. The second dam Bella Babette is a full sister to the FEI eventer Ben Bartholdy and the same small family also produced the performance test high scorer Bella Chocolata (by Suchard) with a final score of 7.92.

High Spirit's dam is Helia, a very fertile and valuable broodmare and a full sister to the Reserve Champion and performance tested premium mare Hot Colour. Helia's sire E.H. Manrico is one of the most proven all around sport hose sires of the Trakehner breed today and just in the past years has slowly made his way back into the spotlight. His get compete successfully at FI eventing and S level dressage. Manrico was also the champin of his 100 day test and won at Inter I level in dressage. His get constistently inherit great rideability and excllent jumping potential. Manrico's sire Gipsy King was an equally established dual purpose sires in the Trakehner breed with offspring competing at S level in show jumping and dressage. He was one of the last male representatives of the Abglanz line in the Trakehner breed. Gipsy King's dam line, that of the original treck mare Gundula (O326 Poll-Hörem), has produced a number of S level performance horses and the influential stallions Gunnar, Ginster, Grand Passion, Guy Laroche, Guter Planet, Guter Stern, Glenn Grant, as well as the equally versatile Grafenstolz TSF.

Manrico's dam Marcia II is an elite mare for the Trakehner Verband and is also the dam of the highly regarded approved chestnut Märchenprinz by Ecuador xx, who stood in Germany and Denmark. The grand dam Maike is also an elite mare and produced Marcia's full brother, the approved Maifeuer. Maike is also dam of the mare Mailicht by Habicht, whose old daughter Maiwolke by Arrak was successful as a show jumper at M level. From very close maternal relation, we also find the the outstanding show jumper sire Mandant and Marius, whose son Conte Conyaro had a long Grand Prix dressage career with Karin Kunert. This valuable and highly proven dam line is also the background of the S level show jumpers Merlin, Mondsichel and Morgenstern (all sired by Sarafan).

High Spirit's 2nd dam Hot Chocolate was an accomplished M level dressage horse. The third dam Heimkehr III is also dam of the ATA's Happy Hour. The large mare family of Herbstgold traces back to the original Main Stud Trakehnen mare Herbstzeit (by Bussard). This is the family of e.g. E.H. Herzzauber (FI dressage, Champion NMS 1991), Herzensdieb (Riding Horse Champion in Germany, Champion NMS 2005), E.H. Herzruf (international sport horse sire), Hirtentanz, Hölderlin (FEI eventer), Houston (event horse sire), the Ibikus-sire Hertilas, E.H. Hofrat (S level dressage, Reserve Champion NMS 2000), Hoftänzer (S level dressage, Reserve Champion NMS 2001), Herzbube (sire of WEG silver medalist E.H. Heuriger), Herzog (Bundeschampion eventing), and the international dressage horse Hirtentraum.

About the dam:

Dam Adeline II is in the Trakehner Verband GP Program (selected breeding) and is the only German bred daughter of the outstanding event horse sire Fleetwater Opposition in the Trakehner Mare Book at this time. She is the dam of three previous Trakehner foals by Vivus (2x), both riding horses and by Tycoon (2yr old).

Fleetwater Opposition competed at FEI levels in dressage and eventing, and won the European Championships in the latter discipline. In the past years he has been ranked consistently in the Top 10 of the WBFSH Eventing Sires list, as his offspring successfully compete at the highest level of the sport (e.g. Opposition Buzz, British Team silver medal WEG 2010, Olympic team 2012, Yarland’s Summer Song, 1996 Olympics Atlanta, grandson Le Prince des Bois, German Team 2011). Fleetwater Opposition is from the stallion line of the original Main Stud Trakehnen stallion Komet by Goldregen, whose son Hessenstein was a major distributor of this blood in post WWII Germany. Another UK-based international eventer and approved stallion, Godington Hanibal, also carries this old blood. Fleetwater Opposition’s sire Muschamp Danube was a maternal half brother to the major sire Donauwind *E*, a leading sport horse and stallion producer worldwide. Among Donauwind’s many outstanding sons, the Olympic Champion and World Champion show jumper Abdullah *Ps*E* and his ¾ brother, Dr. Klimke’s Grand Prix stallin Fabian, stand out most. Interestingly, both Abdullah and Fabian were out of daughters of the great Maharadscha – Adeline II carries Maharadscha blood very up close for today’s time (consider that Maharadscha died in the 70s), as her dam sire is Etong, one of Maharadscha’s most proven sons. Fleetwater Opposition’s dam was the Russian bred Trakehner mare Opushka. Her sire Olpot was a Kirov-born Trakehner by original Main Stud Trakehnen parents, and was an international show jumper, who also won the Soviet National Championships during his active career. Her dam Pika by the Russian major sire Piligrim also produced the mare Pawana by Welt – she in turn produced the two times Olympic show jumper and international winner Almox Prints J.

Adeline's dam was the elite mare Arlette III, who was a successful advanced level driving horse. She also succeeded as a brood mare and produced the well known State, Verband premium and Elite mare Arabica, herself also a very successful advanced level driving horse. Arabica is dam of the approved stallion Arc de Triomphe, who in turn sired the puissant show jumper and approved Trakehner stallion Picobello E. Arabica was exported to Valhalla Farms in FL and produced two FEI dressage horses there, e.g. Aurra *Ps* by Martini. Dam sire Etong by Maharadscha was an outstanding show jumper, but competed at Grand Prix dressage. He brings valuable TB blood through his dam sire Jonkeer xx (TB family 4, family of e.g. Coronach xx, Graustark xx, Hail to Reason xx, Nearco xx, Neckar xx and Ribot xx).

The mare family of Arcona is a Main Stud Trakehnen line, here represented by a branch from Gestüt Webelsgrund. This line also stands for the outstanding perfomance horses Axis TSF (approved, international Grand prix dressage), Artistic Rock (approved, FEI dressage), Alaskatraum (approved, international show jumper), Amabile (international driving horse), Allegro (S level show jumper), Amadelio (approved, Bundeschampionat 2012) and many others.
