Please Me by EH Mackensen out of Patricia IX by Gelria. Please Me started his career as the German Bundeschampion after he was bought at auction in Neumünster as a non-approved colt. He was trained and ridden by one of the world's best eventers, Claus Erhorn (Team Gold at the Seoul Olympics in 1988) and was a consistent CCI*** eventer during many active years. He was long-listed for the Barcelona Olympics alng with Ingrid Klimke's successful Grand Prix.

Peppermint III by Zauberklang out of Pikee by EH Arogno, represented Switzerland at the 2004 Athens Olympics and qualified by winning several CIC***s across Europe. Ridden by his owner, Marisa Cortesi,, the elegant bay gelding was purchased as a green youngster at the Klosterhof Medingen Elite Auction and proved to be everything a rider can dream of! And what a breeding success the dam is: her other son is the approved Grand Prix winner St. Payano (by EH Herzruf), who won the Finish Dressage Championships two years in a row.

Lester Piggot by Sir Shostakovich xx out of Louisiana II by Patron. Bred at the Hoogen's Vogelsangshof, Lester Piggot was en elite auction horse in Medingen where he was bought by American Mr. Piskorz. Ridden by Holly Hepp, he was the ATA's most successful event horse in 2001, winning the Trakehner Förderverein Award that year. He too, placed at the CCI**** Rolex in Kentucky and is a very close relative to the German Olympic competitor Longchamps TSF (also by Sir Shostakovich xx out of Hoogen's L-line). Together, they make for a very unusual pair of 3/4 brothers, both with a record at the highest levels.

Birkenhof's Grafenstolz TSF by Polarion out of Gipsy Lady by Camelot. Grafenstolz was approved with a premium title in Neumünster and really hit it big time during the 2004 season: the first horse ever in the history of the Bundeschampionat to qualify for all three disciplines (dressage, show jumping and eventing). He was entered in the eventer class (6 year olds), which he won with a very convincing overall score of 92%! Later that fall, he moved on to win the FEI World Championships for Young Eventers in Lion d'Angers/France. 2005 was the first year at CIC** and *** level for this exciting 7 year old, and again, first places came in like nothing. In early 2006, he won the CCI** in Compiegne/France on his dressage score and only weeks later, finished the CIC** Kreuth/Germany with a very moderate round during xc and another win in the dressage on 5th position. He toppded his young career by winning the bronze medal at the German Championships in Luhmühlen, his first start at CIC*** level. Nothing seems to stop this picture-perfect athlete!

Inster Graditz by Bonito xx out of Issandra by Kassius. Inster Graditz was a premium stallion at his approval and his movement and jumping never left much doubt as to what his career should be. He was placed with Olympic Gold medalist Thies Kaspareit in Germany and won two spots for the Bundeschampionat, where he never won, but placed high in the finals and was announced as the "most interesting international caliber horse on the spot". Inster Graditz was a cross country machine with an impeccable canter, coming much after his famous sire. After an injury as a 7 year old, he was placed with Karin Kunert for dressage, and was already doing Prix St Georg work when he suddenly died while breeding. He was only 12 years old, but left a number of outstanding brood mares, competitions horses and approved sons, of which Sir Graditz is described in our show jumper section.

Kassiber by by Ibikus out of ES Kassiopeia by Impuls. Kassiber, who was bred by Otto Langels at Hämelschenburg, and approved in Germany, was Beate Langels' National level three day eventer before he left Germany for Australia. Kassiber's only approved son was the champion Amadeus, and his influence can still be seen through very good daughters. Even more interesting, in t heland of TBs and eventing, Kassiber stunned to crowds by winning the Australian Three Day Event National Championships!
