The sire

El Greco is a highly accomplished eventer like his sire Fontainbleau, the NMS champion of 1993. El Greco and Alexa Bendtfeld are currently showing at CCI** and CIC*** levels, and this last remaining approved son of Fontainbleau is heading for a season at CCI*** levels. El Greco's dam Elchniederung is also the dam of the famous stallion Enrico Caruso *Ps*E*, who left Europe for North America after leaving breeders there the accomplished Kostolany. Enrico was a tremendously popular stallion in North America and has several approved sons there, among them the performance stallions Incantare, Kovington *Ps*, and Pavarotti.

The dam

Second dam Apachi produced a number of good performance horses in Germany, among them Alster-Perle (by Belmondo), Alstertraum and Alsterstern (both by Schiffon) at M level dressage. Dam sire Vivus was a good dressage horse in his youngers days and is recently going through a renaissance, much to the benefit of the breed. his most amazhing son Impetus was approved in NMS in 2004 and passed an exceptional stallion performance test, and several very good daughters have recently been entered into the stud book. Second dam sire Gasparone is a maternal half brother to Gratian.
