The sire
Herzkristall was approved as a premium stallion in NMS in 1999 and stood at stud in Great Britain for the first years of his career. He then returned to Germany to stand at Gestüt Sommerlade. he is one of three approved sons of the FEI stallion Goldino, a maternal half brother to EH Gribaldi. Herzkristall's dam line also produced EH Herzzauber, Herzfunke, Herbstglanz and the 2005 champion Herzensdieb, among many others. Herstkristall recently sold to North America as a Hunter.
The dam
Dam Hathor was the best 4yr old at her inspection in Bavaria is by the late FEI dressage stallion Le Duc, who had a successful career in Germany and sold to Great Britain not too long ago. He was tremendously successful and on his way to Grand Prix when he suddenly died untimley. Le Duc's dam is the very famous mare Liga, the last daughter of the exceptional Pregel that was alive. She is also the dam of the excellent Lichtenstein (by Chinatown xx) and the eventing stallion Laurel (by Stan the Man xx). She also had two approved sons in the Baden-Württemberg warmblood breed. Le Duc sired the approved eventing stallion Camaro, a popular pinto stallion in Europe. Second dam sire Kir Royal by the former champion EH Itaxerxes. His dam Kordia (by Mazagran), also produced the Pan Am Silver medalist Kronjuwel (by Matador). Kir Royal is stationed in Great Britain and during his active career as a show jumper was trained by the Whitacker brothers. The mare family further produced the approved stallions EH Heuriger, Humanus, Husar and others. Same line as stallion candidates 21 Hamilton and 57 Halleluja.
