The sire
Hibiskus was the reserve champion of the approvals in 2002 and won the Trakehner Riding Horse Championat. He also qualified for the Bundeschampionat in the riding horse divisions. After his recent sale to Gestüt Wiesenhof it is very likely that he will finally also have a good performance career. This is his second foal crop in Neumünster, after his sons Okavango (premium), Hessencharme and Stresemann were approved in 2006. Hibiskus' sire EH Latimer is a successful FEI level dressage horse with Theresa Wahler all over Europe and sired a number of approved stallions (Karolinger I+II, Immenhof, Finckenstein and Illux, as well as several Hanoverians). Latimer's daughters belong to the highest scoring mares in the Verband stud books. He is a 3/4 brother to the excellent Liebestraum. Hibiskus dam comes from a very good mare line that was founded by the chestnut elite mare Herzchen by Ginster. This direct family includes the Stallion of the Year EH Herzruf, the reserve champion Hirtenruf, the S level show jumper and approved Heinrich der Löwe, the FEI dressage stallion Heinrich der Welfe, the *** eventing stallion Hölderlin and the top show jumper Hirtentanz.
The dam
Dam Lantana V was a record breaking 2yr old filly at the auction in Neumünster (110,000DM), and is presenting her 4th son in Neumünster this year. She is the dam of the 2004 champion stallion Le Rouge, by now an accomplished under saddle winner and Bundeschampionat qualifier. Lantana's maternal half sister Louisa is presenting stallion candidate no. 32 Lemberger in this year's collection. The Luna VI family is a branch of the Amsel AA family in the Trakehner breed that was founded by the mare Amsel, a full sister to the impeccable Burnus AAH. This is also the line of the elite stallion Louidor as well as the two times Olympic eventer Larissa *Pg*.
