The sire

EH Hohenstein was a premium stallion of his approval in 1993, winner of the rideability part of his 100 day test in Adelheitsdorf, Bundeschampionat qualifier and successful S level dressage horse. EH Hohenstein's most noteworthy sons include the international Grand Prix stallion EH Münchhausen TSF, the bronze medalist at the FEI World Championships for young dressage horses, Insterburg TSF, the premium stallion Tambour and the Hanoverian champion stallion His Highness, who was sold at auction for over 500.000 Euro to American owners. EH Caprimond was reserve champion of his approval, winner of his 100 day test in Adelheitsdorf, Grand Prix dressage winner in the show ring and is sire of several approved stallions, not only in the Trakehner breed. His influence on the breed is also very big through numerous daughters, of which many have become stallion dams. Caprimond also has a battery of kids competing in the upper levels of dressage and has the highest breed index for type in the Hanoverian breed. The dam line of Hohenstein, Halensee, was predominantly kept active at the Verband stud Birkhausen in Rhineland-Palatinate in the 70s and 80s and also produced the ATA's outstanding movement producer Horizon and the approved Hamlet Go, Harlem Go and Hohenstein II (Hungary). This dam line has the stallion candidates 1 Helanris, 8 Halimey Go, 31 Honoré and 60 Hachez in this year's crop in Neumünster.

The dam

Dam Coppelia was the State Champion mare at the State Mare Show in Lower-Saxony and won the title of Germany's best Anglo bred warmblood (all breeds) at the National Mare Show in Warendorf. Her sire Marduc was a very successful dressage stallion with many excellent sons such as EH Anduc, EH Herzzauber, EH Lehndorffs or Induc, and is a paternal half brother to the great dressage sire EH Hyllos (sire of e.g. Solero TSF). The third dam Niala xx is also dam of the Trakehner and TB approved Nandino xx, one of Germany's most successful race horses of his time. Furthermore, this is the family of the major sire Neckar xx, a pillar of German TB and warmblood breeding, the impeccable Irish sire Neuqen xx (dam sire of EH Charly Chaplin, foundation sire of the Saint Cloud - EH Latimer line, State Stud stallion in Celle), the Hanoverian approved Novum xx as well as the excellent Nebos xx.
