The sire
Askar AA, who was bred in Poland, was a team member of the Polish Olympic Team in the eventing squad in Atlanta 1996, and finished several CCI*** events in Europe. The bay stallion was approved in Poland earlier in his career and had already sired successful sport horses when he was imported to Germany. Askar AA sadly died after only 2 seasons at stud at Gestüt Gorlo in Melle.
The dam
Dam Hamamelis also produced the approved premium stallion Harlem Go. Her sire Pardon Go was sired by the top show jumper Rittersporn, who also produced the Grand Prix dressage stallions Belluno and Hippo's Bellissimo as well as the S level show jumper Humboldt. Rittersporn's dam sire was also Donauwind. Second dam sire Matador was Donauwind's most popular son, even if not his best. Matador left several outstanding brood mares, among them the famous SPS,PS+ES Miami, dam of EH Michelangelo and EH Monteverdi TSF. Donauwind of course, is also known as the sire of the legendary show jumper Abdullah and many other, very good stallion sons. Out of very close maternal relation come also the stallions Horizon (ATA), Harlem Go, Hamlet Go, Hohenstein II (Hungary) and a number of excellent performance horses in all three disciplines. Same family as stallion candidates 1 Helanris, 31 Honoré and 60 Hachez.
